Namibia cabinet approves satellite broadcasting project rollout

On 2026-04-10, Namibia's Cabinet directed the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology to roll out the Direct-To-Home satellite broadcasting project in Windhoek. The multimillion-dollar project with Intelsat Ventures is intended to expand radio and television coverage to 100 percent nationwide, supporting digital migration and access in remote areas.
