Ex–RCMP officer pleads not guilty under Canada’s Security of Information Act

On 2026-04-20, former RCMP officer William Majcher pleaded not guilty in Vancouver British Columbia Supreme Court to one count under Canada’s Security of Information Act. The case concerns alleged preparatory acts said by prosecutors to have been done for the benefit or at the direction of the Chinese government.
