BPCL customers accused of misappropriating millions via digital wallet deposits

On 2026-04-02, police in Indore registered a cheating case against seven BPCL customers for allegedly misappropriating more than Rs 5.7 crore that had been wrongly deposited into their digital wallets. Police also said they were probing how about 1,000 customers in BPCL's Smart Fleet scheme received erroneous wallet recharges totaling Rs 129.55 crore.
