Drents Museum heist: recovered ancient gold artifacts handed over to Romania

On 2026-04-02, the Dutch Prosecution Service handed over the recovered Coțofenești golden helmet and two Dacian gold bracelets to representatives of Romania in Assen, Netherlands. The transfer took place at the Drents Museum under heightened security after the artifacts were stolen in an earlier museum heist and later recovered.
