Omar Abdullah urges Indian govt to protect Kashmiri Pandit shrine properties

On 2026-04-02, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah urged the Indian government to protect the properties and religious shrines of displaced Kashmiri Pandits until their safe and dignified return to the valley. He also said his government was ready to bring a law on the issue if there was community consensus, while opposing a private member’s bill in the assembly.
