Narendra Modi urges Opposition to back Women’s Reservation Bill in India

On 2026-04-17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged all political parties to support the amendment to the Women’s Reservation Bill (Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam). He said delays on women’s reservation should end and called on the Opposition to back the measure as voting in the Lok Sabha approached in New Delhi.
