Asaduddin Owaisi urges Election Commission to form Foreigners' Tribunal after SIR in West Bengal

On 2026-04-08, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi in Hyderabad urged the Election Commission of India to act on concerns over voter exclusion linked to SIR in West Bengal. He called for the speedy formation of a Foreigners' Tribunal before the elections so voters would not lose their constitutional right to vote. The appeal was made publicly in remarks to ANI.
