Armenian parliament speaker urges release of Armenian detainees in Azerbaijan

On 2026-04-17, Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan called for the release of 19 Armenian detainees held in Azerbaijan and for clarification of the fate of missing persons. He said these steps are needed to strengthen trust and advance genuine reconciliation between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
