Bangladesh urges UN to bridge the digital divide at meeting

On 2026-04-16, Bangladesh’s Permanent Representative to the UN Salahuddin Noman Chowdhury delivered a statement at the UN Headquarters in New York urging enhanced international cooperation to bridge the global digital divide. The appeal was made at the 59th Session of the Commission on Population and Development and called for technology transfer, capacity building, and stronger data systems.
