Iran announces it will send pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for Hajj

On 2026-04-23, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council allowed Iranian pilgrims to participate in this year’s Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. The Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization said the first group would depart for Medina at the beginning of the next week, and more than 29,000 Iranian pilgrims are planned to take part.
