Connecticut House passes ban on 'convertible pistols'

On 2026-04-22, the Connecticut House of Representatives passed a bill banning the sale of so-called convertible pistols at the Capitol in Hartford. The measure, originally proposed by Gov. Ned Lamont, would prohibit pistols that can be readily converted into machine guns by adding a pistol converter.
