Tapas Roy

Tapas Roy is an Indian politician and a former Minister of State for Planning and Statistics in West Bengal. He was elected as a legislator of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly in 2001, 2011, 2016 and 2021. He was an All India Trinamool Congress politician. On 4 March 2024, Roy quit Trinamool Congress and resigned from the post of MLA. On 6 March 2024, he joined the Bhartiya Janata Party.
