Shawn Steel

Shawn Steel is an American politician serving as the Republican National Committee Member from California since 2008. He was voted by his colleagues to the executive committee of the Republican National Committee in 2018. Steel served as Sergeant at Arms at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2016. In 2012, he served as deputy permanent co-chairman of the convention. He served as the elected chairman of the California Republican Party from 2001 to 2003. He is the husband of former U.S. Representative Michelle Steel, who represented California's 45th congressional district from 2021 to 2025.
