Reem Alsalem

Reem Alsalem is a Jordanian consultant on gender and humanitarian issues who has served as the United Nations Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls since August 2021. Her gender critical advocacy in that position has led to her being described by scholars as a central actor in global anti-gender and anti-trans mobilizations within international legal institutions.
