Nizar Amidi

Nizar Mohammed Saeed Amidi is an Iraqi engineer politician who has served as president of Iraq since 2026. A member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), he previously served as the Minister of Environment in the government of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani from 2022 to 2024.
