Missy Hughes

Melissa B. "Missy" Hughes is an American lawyer, public administrator, and former agriculture coop executive from Vernon County, Wisconsin. She served as the secretary and chief executive officer of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) from 2019 until 2025. She was appointed in September 2019 by Governor Tony Evers, and was the first woman to hold that post. She is a candidate in the Democratic Party primary for governor of Wisconsin in the 2026 election.
