Jonathan Bush

Jonathan S. Bush is an American technology entrepreneur and politician, best known as the cofounder and former chief executive officer of athenahealth, a Watertown, Massachusetts-based healthcare technology company founded in 1997. On June 6, 2018, Bush resigned from his position as CEO of athenahealth during an activist campaign by Elliott Management. In October 2025, he announced his candidacy for Governor of Maine in the 2026 election as a Republican.
