It is owned by the Tegna subsidiary of Nexstar Media Group alongside WUPL, an independent station with MyNetworkTV; Nexstar also owns ABC affiliate WGNO and CW station WNOL-TV. WWL-TV and WUPL share studios on Rampart Street in the historic French Quarter; WWL-TV's transmitter is located on Cooper Road in Terrytown, Louisiana.
