National Department of Transport Infrastructure

The National Department of Transport Infrastructure is a Brazilian federal agency linked to the Ministry of Transport that plans, builds, operates, and maintains elements of the Federal Transportation System. It was created by Law No. 10,233 of 5 June 2001 as part of a sectoral reorganisation that also extinguished the former National Department of Highways. DNIT is headquartered in Brasília, Federal District.
